1.
Basics

Feral is "special class", its all cos of dots, hots, survive and cc abilitys and all in same moment, easy to learn use abilitys fast/put max dps/kite, much harder play ur role in right moment.
Try allways be out of energy and with tigers fury on cd before running out of cat, so u will loose damage only from autohits, same with Bash in bear. Feral has perfect slow - infected Wounds, its working automatically with ur spamable ability, dont need waste gcd, like warr/dk(except frost), so if u vs melle class, who using tactic - waste everything at once and hope he will be dead, just kite and heal, go into bear for charge or even restealth, but care about warr`s charge. Predatory Strikes must be used allways, except moments, when u need mana badly or when u bursting. Learn ur enemys - what they will use, how much cd on it, or u will play wrong role in wrong moment, for example - berserk before opening on mage (u gonna waste time on charge and shapeshifting) or heal up and kite with berserk while warr in bladestorm. Feral charge - bear is usually better then feral charge - cat, except when u bursting. Use survival instincts in last moment(sure dont forget that u can be in cc), because after 20 sec all granted hp will be deleted.
Feral is the fastest class, spec in wow, u have +30% from talents and +15% from pvp set bonus. Care about ur mobility, shapeshift as fast as possible, allways be near ur enemy, make high pressure - they will panic and make mistakes! U must be allways behind ur enemy, especially if he is agi class, but even cloth sometime dodging maim, bash.
Allways open with pounce (except mages). Infected wounds uptime is 100%, its the most important vs any class/spec! SR uptime should be 100% also, best choise is from 1-2 cp, main finisher is rip, use it allways from 5 cp (except hunters, vs them 3-5 cp) try also 100% uptime. Other important bleed is rake, its making half damage of rip but its cost much less, rake is best damaging ability by DPE, uptime - 100%. Maim is great stun, only 10 sec cd, use it often in arena with dps mate, sometime even before rip after u switched(if ur mate strong dps), also maim is awesome to go behind enemy to avoid dodge, parry, also u can stun in cast, but dont forget that maim has gcd.
Learn this and u gonna make x2 more dps then random feral with same gear.

2.
Stats priority

U must be hit capped - 5% for feral, its 164 hit rating. 75 spell penetration vs druids mark, if no dispeller in team or if u not arena player.
Agi:
Agi>Str>Resil>AP>ArP>Crit>Stam>Haste
ArP:
ArP>Agi=Resil>Str>AP>Crit>Stam>Haste

3.
Gear

There is 2 ways - Agility, Armor Penetrating. ArP is for fun, usually its better then agi in 5v5, bg, and sometime even in 3s and duels, but agility gives more cp cos of primal fury, also more dodge. U must understand that rake and rip working 100% of all time. U using berserk - damage from bleeds still same, but u spamming mangles/shreds/fb, thats making arp more important for burst, but arp not changing damage from dots. Usually u kiting/healing/controling/switching while bleeds allready applied on enemy. I can even say - with agi u playing as smart, but as arp u become burst machine and all other roles going on the wayside(like while u in berserk). Just choose what u want- high dps=agi or fast burst=arp. If u want be in safe, go for agi, thats the way of 90% ferals. But if u sure that the only what u need is bg - arp is ur choise.
For successful fights, u should switch gear before fight, get both bis list - for dps and for survive, atleast trinkets and weapon. For example vs RPala u want to have best dps, but vs BM u want gear as much resil and stamina as possible.

BIS list for agi feral. Remember this rule - if pvp item dont has agi, take in same slot pve, if pvp item has agi, take it, exception is hc Oathbinder.

4.
Proffs

Engineering is a queen of all proffs.
Gloves and Back can be used on arena. Everywhere else u can also use Waist, Boots and much much more.
Tailoring for Back
JC for +42 agi/arp
BS for +40 agi/arp
Other proffs less important:
Alchemy Flask
Enchanting Rings
Leatherworking Wrist
Inscripting Shoulders

5.
Gemming

If u dont have dispeller in ur team, get 75 Spell Penetration in blue(3x Stormy Majestic Zircon)

Agi:
in meta Relentless Earthsiege Diamond
for meta must have (if no blue gems)Nightmare Tear
in all slots Delicate Cardinal Ruby
if not hit capped - in yellow Glinting Ametrine
if u care about bonus, then
in blue Shifting Dreadstone
in yellow Lucent Ametrine
Do not gem crit! Agi and resil are more important.

ArP:

6.
Specs

There is no different in dps between mangle and shred, mangle with glyph and talents has same DPE as Shred with talents. Mangle costing less energy, so u gaining cp faster and more [Predatory Strikes] procs, if u using shreds, then u must have [Glyph of Shred], or u will waste a lot cp. In some situations u cant use shreds or its very hard.

Mangle common spec
Shred common spec
My own mangle spec
My own shred spec

As u can see, i dont have Feral Instinct because on molten feral dont has a chance to find rogue in stealth, vs everyone else its useless. Also i dont have Primal Tenacity, before stun, i going in bear, also dont care about fear, cos usually berserk enough, also mate can dispell. But if u meet a lot rogue+priest and lock+(someone) then u should take this talent.

Glyphs:
Major:
Glyph of Rip
Glyph of Berserk or Glyph of Savage Roar or Glyph of Barkskin
Glyph of Mangle or Glyph of Shred

Minor:
Glyph of Thorns
Glyph of Dash

7
Duels

7.1
Boomkin

Care of typhoon, open with pounce. Very important to maim in cyclone. Use predatory strikes to cyclone if its not on dr, heal urself and restealth. If enemy using starfall, use barkskin and anyhow try stunlock or cc(maim, bash, cyclone, war stomp). Best moment for berserk when starfall on cd and cyclone on u is on dr. If he called treants, use natures grasp. He will go out of owl to heal up, its best moment to stunlock. Dodge hibernate.

7.2
Feral

1)Dont let FFF be lower then 16 sec(cos enemy can Hibernate>Cyclone>restealth).
2)Go in bear for Bash by cd.
3)U want to be manglebot, cos u cant use dots(need Hibernate).
4)Maim by cd.
6)Waste predatory strikes on hibernate and cyclone, u can spam hots while running away, then into bear and charge, or if ur enemy failed - even restelth. If enemy has dots and cyclone is on dr, use healing touch from predatory strikes.
7)Nature's grasp by cd or u can do this - if he sitting in bear, get 5 cp, then use nature`s grasp, he will shapeshift into cat to delete roots, that 1 sec (usually more) is enough to get behind and maim while he not in bear.
8)Allways shapeshift if u in roots.
9)Barkskin when u in stun or before burst.
10)Watch ur mana, use innervate if need.
11)Feral has a lot dodge, so try be allways behind, or atleast for stuns.
12)Trinket cyclone and hibernate, or maim if he used berserk.
Starting in bear:
Spam demoralizing roar to open enemy, spam dire bear form for rage, but dont let ur mana be lower then 60%. U can also do this - run in one direction for 3-7sec then for 1-2sec in the opposite direction with spamming demoralizing roar. If enemy started in bear - feral charge - bear.
Starting in cat:
Open with pounce. Pounce`s dot works for 18 sec, so u can use twice rake and one rip, its great moment for berserk, trinket should be rdy or u will stay in cc. Same tactic if u restealthed.

7.3
Mage

Start with ravage or mangle. Feral charge - bear only after blink then bash. Dash if ice block and charge on cd or mage called coppys. Do not use rip, only FB or maim if blink on cd.
Shapeshift from any slows. Heal up when mage in ice block, hots are good also, u can make nice damage while he spellstealing. Do not use nature`s grasp.
Frost:
Trinket first deep freez. Very important to shapeshift out of slows to don`t get deep freez.
Fire:
Trinket fire breath.

7.4
Rogue

Hard duel, easy to make mistake for both. If rogue dont fail u must survive 2x evasion, or restealth if he do. Start in bear. Barkskin in cheap shot. If he is using deadly poison - trinket kidney and try get behind for bash, then sure slow, lacerate, FFF. There is few scenarios how to survive 2x evasions:
1)Frenzied Regeneration (only if u have 60+rage, best moment - at first evasion);
2)(must have lacerate, slow, FFF on rogue)Natures grasp, then run away, cast cyclone, abolish poisons, heal up, restealth, open with pounce;
3)(must have lacerate, slow, FFF on rogue)Natures grasp, run away, hots, rogue used cloack of shadows and now running to u, go in bear and charge;
4)(must have slow, FFF on rogue, kidney shot on cd) run away, hots, go in bear and charge;
If u used abolish poison and deleted deadly poison, then rogue now can use blind, so u must be far away or in bear if he near, cos he can restealth and stunlock u. Sub rogue can blind u anytime, trinket it. Also when u running away from sub rogue, expect that he can shadowstep and kidney u. If u lucky and/or ur enemy noob, u restealthed, open with pounce(be rdy to go in bear, cos he can trinket it and stunlock u), then 3-5 cp and maim, if he not dead yet, go in bear and spam maul, fff, lacerate. If u didnt restealth, soon rogue`s 2nd evasion expires, then just bash and max dps from behind, better keep stay in bear if his kidney rdy.
U can go in cat form if rogue dont has evasion, kidney on cd, vanish on cd, shadowstep on cd if subtl, killing spree on cd if combat, use this rotation in cat - rake>mangles>3-5cp(depends on his health)>maim. With stuns and evasion on cd, rogue become easyest opponent.

7.5
SP

Its a hard fight, u must kill priest before 3rd fear. Open with pounce. Try get rip on him as fast as possible, trinket first fear. Barkskin when psychic horror. Predatory strikes for healing touch. While sp in dispersion - get 5cp then heal urself, but dont let him get away, also u can just cyclone him, so he won`t get mana. After dispersion u should have 80%+ energy, maim him or rip if need. Also its best moment for berserk. If sp dont want go in dispersion and making a lot damage, w8 untill he has 40% hp, then use berserk, dispersion won`t save him cos its working only 6 sec, and berserk 15(20).

7.6
Warr

Arms:
Open with pounce, then SR, if proced predatory strikes - cyclone warr at last sec (dont forget about spell reflection), heal up and restealth between dot ticks. Dont let him charge u - trinket fear, stay near him if u kiting. U must barkskin/natures grasp/bear>frenzied regeneration/kite/heal/cyclone when warr using shield block/retaliation/SW/bladestorm. Try bash and bear charge by cd. Best moment for berserk is when shield block/retaliation/SW/bladestorm are on cd.
Prot:
Open with pounce. trinket concussion blow, dont let him get behind u, especially if he has recklessness, but if he did it, use barkskin, Use berserk after stun chain.

7.7
Warlock

Tactic is not hard - kill lock before berserk ends. predatory strikes to cyclone pet and healing touch. If he is affly, dont go in bear for charge while berserk (charge in cat). Stay behind lock all time to interrupt his casts. Rip must be all time on lock. Trinket death coil. Demo lock is especially hard, if u defeated pro demo, be proud.

7.8
Pala

Retropal:
Open with pounce. Bleeds must be on pala all time. After HoF use nature`s grasp. If ur enemy stupid, u can go into bear before stun. If he is not, then trinket it while in cat, if pala used wings - play defensive (kite, heal, bear charges, bash, cyclones), but don`t use barkskin, because he pierces through all damage reduction, better save it for 2nd stun. After 2nd stun use berserk, if he didnt use wings - use berserk after first stun, dont let him kite u, it must be fast fight, u must kill him before 2nd-3rd stun, if u failed with it, u both probably gonna play defensive, save ur mana and survive till ur trinket will be rdy. U must understand paladins tactic - heal up and kite with healer`s 1h wep and shield, for stun he wearing 2h wep and puting max dps, if he not doing it...he noob and deserve to die.
Prot:
Same tactic as vs retro, except - u will be silenced sometime, lower cd on stun and he won`t kite, but u must.

7.9
Hunt

MM
Before start cast nature`s grasp, stay in same place with hunter before start, so u can pounce him before u in freezing arrow. Trinket freezing arrow, save charge for his jump, bash after it. Shapeshift out of scatter shot. If u riped him - u mostly won. If hunter in deterrence, cast hots. Predatory strikes for healing touch. Hunter must be slowed allways, or he can easy kite with frost trap (if u failed - go into bear for charge, then maul). Berserk if he casting Scare Beast.
BM
Same as vs MM, except - BM is our strongest counter. predatory strikes for cyclone on pet and healing touch if u low or cyclone on dr, u cant slow or cc him or his pet while the beast within.
Surv:
Same tactic as vs MM, except - surv much easyer.

7.10
DK

Blood:
Very easy - he is our dummy, kite if mark of blood on u.
Frost:
Easy also, trinket hungering cold, then berserk.
Unholy:
Can be hard. Open with pounce. Try get rip fast. predatory strikes for healing touch only, dont waste it on cyclone, cos still dots and pets on u. This duel depends on kiting, dont let him do it if u have a lot energy and no dots on dk - shapeshift out of slows. After u put bleeds and waste energy, start kiting with puting hots. U can kite and heal easylly, then bear form and charge, then bash, but dont forget about icebound fortitude. Use berserk after icebound fortitude. Barkskin when he calls garg, u can use some aoe stun now (war stomp, cobalt frag bomb). Cyclone pet when dk low, or maim him, or even both as chain.

7.11
Elem

Pretty easy. Open with pounce, berserk anytime, shapeshift out of roots. Make a pressure, if he run`s away, just dash and be rdy to winn. Maim from 1cp in any cast is nice. Predatory strikes for healing touch.

7.12
Enhanc

Very easy. Barkskin and natures grasp when he calls wolfs, maim while berserk in heal cast and gg.

7.13
Disc

Open with pounce. Berserk after tiger`s fury, now u have 2 ways:
1)5cp>maim>5cp>rip>5cp>maim;
2)5cp>rip>5cp>maim>5cp>FB.
We cant do anything with pain suppression, 3 min cd on it, so priest will use it for every berserk.
Predatory strikes for healing touch, use it fast, cos priest can dispell. Save trinket for fear when priest casting hymn of hope. Dont let him drink, if u low on mana, cast cyclone, then innervate, then u can even restealth. If he used shadowfiend, use natures grasp.

7.14
RSham

Same start as vs disc. Destroy mana totems.

7.15
RDru, HPala

U cant kill them, but u can atleast show ur best. Cyclone while innervate/plea, save trinket for berserk.

8.
Arena

In arena ur role - dots on one target(usually its dps), cc another, saving mate, stunlocking healer, making high burst. Feral usually top dps in arena.
Here is the most common setups:
2v2
Feral+RSham A lot CC, high survive, strong slows, a lot mana.
Feral+Disc A lot cc, strong dps, can dispell bubble, MB(use it with stunlocking/fearing healer)
Feral+BM Nice cc, big burst, heal reduction.
Feral+MM A lot cc, big dps, heal reduction, good survive.
Feral+Rogue A lot cc, insane stunlock, heal reduction.
3v3
Feral+AWarr+Hpala Strong DPS, can eat mostly any healer.
Feral+MM/BM+Hpala Big burst, good cc, better survive then with warr.
Feral+BM+RSham Big burst, awesome cc.
Feral+Rogue+Disc A lot cc, easy to switch, but RMP better mostly in all situations.

9.
Macro

One of the most imporatant for arena, bind it
"Focus"
/focus

Mount and all travel forms
/cast (UR MOUNT)
/cast [nostance:2/4/5,swimming] Aquatic Form(Shapeshift); [nostance:2/4/5,flyable, nocombat] Flight Form(Shapeshift); [nostance:2/4/5,outdoors] Travel Form(Shapeshift)
/cancelform

"Charge"
#showtooltip [stance:nostance/2/3/4/5/6] Feral Charge - Cat; [stance:1] Feral Charge - Bear
/cast [stance:3] Feral Charge - Cat; [stance:1] Feral Charge - Bear

Faerie fire from any form, tracking bash
"Fire"
#showtooltip [stance:nostance/1/2/3/4/5/6] Bash(Rank 3)
/cast [stance:1/3] Faerie Fire (Feral)
/cast [nostance] Faerie Fire

"Cyclone"
#showtooltip
/tar [modifier:ctrl] focus
/cast Cyclone

"Hibernate"
#showtooltip
/tar [modifier:ctrl] focus
/cast Hibernate

"Roots"
#showtooltip
/tar [modifier:ctrl] focus
/cast Entangling Roots

10.
Binds

Bind everything! For CC - R,F,T,G,Z,X,C,V,B cos of macro on focus. The abilitys, which requires good reaction must be closer to fingers, for example Trinket, stun. This can be binded 1-6, ctrl 1-6, shift 1-6, alt 1-6, F1-F6, shift+space, ctrl+space, Tab, `. Clicking on enemy while he running sometime can be hard, especially for ppl with low micro, so bind "Target Nearest Enemy", from start its on Tab, but better bind it on Middle Mouse Button.

11.
Addons

Gladius - adds enemy unit frames to arenas for easier targeting and focusing.
Gladiminish - shows DR in Gladius`es window.
Bartender4 - a full ActionBar replacement mod. It provides you with all the features needed to fully customization most aspects of your action and related bars.
Drdamage - displays the calculated damage or healing of abilities with talents, gear and buffs included on your actionbar buttons. The addon also adds various statistics to the tooltips in your spellbook and on the actionbar.
OmniCC - an addon that adds text to items, spell and abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they will be ready to use. In other words: it turns all the standard analogue cooldowns into digital ones.
Quartz - a modular approach to a casting bar addon.

Just one question,
how can this be a bis trinket?

Posted by corgalom View Post
I understand that it heals 1/3rd of hp but I don't think that its worth taking over DBW or CSK or STS

CSK gives shield, which not changing by resil. Also Bauble of True Blood can be used on mate. DBW and STS are uselles for survive.

You do not want Bauble as a feral under any circumstance o.O If you're dipping so low that you absolutely need to use Bauble, you're probably going to die anyway.
STS and DBW outdo it to the max, no argument.

Good attempt on the guide, though. Could use a lot of spell checking, grammar checking, etc, but it's readable.

Don't waste your barkskin on wings, when paladin uses them, he pierces through all damage reductions.
About using your trinket on a stun, i better suggest to reserve it in case you get stunned in humanoid form (or Repentance'd), since in cat form with Primal Tenacity talent you receive 30% less dmg while stunned.

STS or DBW won`t help u in duel vs rogue. Also they won`t help on arena vs some setups (for example Disc+Feral vs SP+FMage) - u gonna run away to healer and kite a lot (especially at start, when everything proced).
Understand, that u must change trinkets before fight (sometime while restealhing), its all depends on your enemies.

P.S. Sry for my english in guide ;P

Repetance is important only if pala going to heal up.

Damage received at first stun still will be high cos of procs and especially if he used wings. After stun u will try stunlock pala, cyclone and somehow get away to put hots. In this situation he will use repetance to get closer to u, not to heal up.

You generally shouldn't be able to see your enemies before a fight, and since you can't change trinks after the gates open, you may as well go for sts.

Yes, but not in practice...On molten, on high rates usually no games. So I tracking, who and when with high rait online and not only I doing it. Also if u or ur mate has premium acc, u can type /who, it helping much. If there are a lot ppl in que with same mmr and u allways getting random team, then in 60%-90% fights u want have dps trinket.
